{"id":1481,"date":"2014-02-04T13:08:17","date_gmt":"2014-02-04T11:08:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/?page_id=1481"},"modified":"2015-02-14T13:20:37","modified_gmt":"2015-02-14T12:20:37","slug":"expert-bodies","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/instruments\/expert-bodies\/","title":{"rendered":"Expert Bodies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Expert Bodies  of the Council of Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/council-of-europe\/\" title=\"Council of Europe\">Council of Europe<\/a><\/em><\/strong> strives to provide European societies with a legal framework in order to facilitate their living together. <\/p>\n<p>To that end, the Council of Europe has drawn up <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/international-treaties\/\" title=\"International Treaties\">international treaties<\/a><\/em><\/strong> like the <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/convention-on-human-rights\/\" title=\"European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR)\">European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR)<\/a><\/em><\/strong> as well as more than 200 further <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/treaties_and_monitoring\/\" title=\"Treaties and Monitoring\">conventions<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, additional protocols and <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/partial-agreements\/\" title=\"Partial Agreements\">partial agreements<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the Council of Europe has created expert bodies like, for example, its <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/instruments\/expert-bodies\/racism\/\" title=\"Commission against Racism (ECRI)\">Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI)<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, in order to promote its <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/council-of-europe\/core-values\/\" title=\"Core Values\">core values<\/a><\/em><\/strong> &#8211; <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/council-of-europe\/core-values\/human-rights\/\" title=\"Human Rights\">human rights<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, democracy and the rule of law &#8211; within the borders of its member states.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Expert Bodies of the Council of Europe The Council of Europe strives to provide European societies with a legal framework in order to facilitate their living together.
