{"id":1585,"date":"2014-02-04T13:34:34","date_gmt":"2014-02-04T11:34:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/?page_id=1585"},"modified":"2014-11-14T19:19:19","modified_gmt":"2014-11-14T18:19:19","slug":"ingo-conference","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/structure\/ingo-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"INGO Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Conference of International Non-governmental Organisations (INGOs)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-834 alignright\" style=\"border: 0px none;\" alt=\"INGO\" src=\"http:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/INGO.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"74\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/INGO.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/INGO-160x47.jpg 160w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Conference of INGOs is a consultative <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/structure\/\" title=\"Structure\">body<\/a><\/em><\/strong> of the <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/council-of-europe\/\" title=\"Council of Europe\">Council of Europe<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It unites more than 400 internationally operating non-governmental organisations from all areas of civil society.<\/p>\n<p>These organisations have <em>participatory status<\/em> at the Council of Europe: They have to be representative within their respective fields, they have to share the <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/council-of-europe\/core-values\/\" title=\"Core Values\">Council of Europe&#8217;s values<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, and they have to contribute to the Council of Europe&#8217;s work by providing it with their knowledge upon request.<\/p>\n<p>The INGO Conference meets for a plenary session in Strassburg twice a year. In between sessions, the Conference remains in constant contact with the political bodies of the Council of Europe and the <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europewatchdog.info\/en\/structure\/secretariat\/\" title=\"Secretariat\">Secretariat<\/a><\/em><\/strong> through its Standing Committee.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Conference of International Non-governmental Organisations (INGOs) The Conference of INGOs is a consultative body of the Council of Europe.
