The Permanent Representation of Switzerland to the Council of Europe

Représentation Permanente de la Suisse Auprès du Conseil de l'EuropeBoth, the Permanent Representation of Switzerland to the Council of Europe and the Consulate General of Switzerland are located since 2005 on the Rue Herder in Strassburg.

The two units are on separate floors and have different responsibilities:

  • The Consulate General is headed by a consul general. It takes care of the Swiss citizens in France, handles visa applications, organises (inter-)cultural events and maintains regular contact with the authorities of its host country as well as with its population.
